Qualifying went well and allowed me to gain some valuable time on the bike. I was able to shave a second off my best lap from the first session to the second.

 

However Race 1 in the Supertwins went horribly wrong when a red flag situation allowed my battery to drain and make the bike unable to start. So I had to retire and as you can imagine I was very pleased with this outcome!

 

With anger aside I set my focus on my first Mini Twin race... I was positioned 7th on the grid so I knew I had to make a good start to finish on the podium. The lights went out and I amazingly ended up 3rd into the first corner, just what I wanted! And nearly taking 2nd into the second corner, how convenient. Things were looking good until a rear end slide on devils elbow while chasing 2nd resulted in me hitting the tarmac! Not the outcome I wanted.

 

Luckily I wasn't hurt to bad in the crash but was extremely annoyed at the early finish due to my actions. However this is a part of racing and has displayed some advantages in helping me overcome this learning curve.
